My background is in language and international communication. Somewhere along the way, I became equally interested in everything happening around the words: the technology, workflows, SEO, people, systems and business decisions that determine whether multilingual content actually works.
My career has taken a few turns. The red thread hasn't.
I started with languages and international communication, moved into digital marketing and SEO, ended up managing international markets and people, and then went increasingly deep into translation, localisation technology, project management and operations.
These days, I work in business development — which, in my case, mostly means taking all of those things and figuring out how they should fit together.

A few other things.
I've never been particularly good at leaving inefficient processes alone. Give me a spreadsheet nobody understands, a localisation workflow held together by hope, or a CAT tool behaving strangely and I'll probably want to fix it.
Processes are rarely just processes. There are usually humans trapped inside them.

Thesis grade: 12 (highest Danish grade). Overall average: 10.4. Thesis: critical discourse analysis of the territorial conflict between the Shuar people and the Ecuadorian government.
